Welcome to GamePookie.

 

GamePookie is a small business currently home-run by a single person. I began my love for video games at the age of 3, with a bootleg NES console - probably similar to most Indian gamers from my generation. Over the years, I gained and lost several other interests and preferences, but the charm of video games somehow persisted and still remains. In 2022, I got introduced to a lot of large and small gaming communities in India through Discord, WhatsApp, OLX - through these, I ended up meeting some really hardcore collectors and making some close friends along the way. I soon began trading with others in the community, sometimes for fun, and sometimes for profit which helped fund my own gaming-related purchases.

 

Over time, I noticed that there seemed to be a constant demand for prints that never got an official release in India, but with hardly anyone available to consistently and easily meet them at the supply end. There were several roadblocks to importing these games such as having a permanent and trusted supplier, shipping availability, import duties & customs, and the most important of all - high prices.

 

Over the course of curating my own gaming collection, I was able to learn to either circumvent, or deal with most of these issues to enough of an extent to now lay down a supply chain. ​So, GamePookie is my attempt to utilize this experience in a way that could be a win-win for me as well as the community. I won't be able to promise to always have the prices on the lower end, but what I can guarantee is an experience that is smooth, hassle-free, and transparent like no other. What you see on the website while ordering, is exactly what you will get. No tricks, no fine print.
